Tööstusuudised.ee portal: MDSC Systems’ new factory to focus on defense orders
13.05.2026Kristjan Kamdron, CEO of MDSC Systems, told the industry news outlet Tööstusuudised.ee that the newly certified MDSC Systems factory was established primarily to fulfill large-scale defense industry orders and to increase the company’s production capacity.
While MDSC Systems currently employs 65 people, at full capacity, the new production unit will allow the organization to expand to up to 100 employees.
“This factory was built specifically to fulfill large contracts, to enable us to grow and take them on,” Kamdron said, referring to the seven-year framework agreement signed with the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI) for mobile field hospitals, valued at up to 150 million euros. He added that the framework agreement provides the stability and core volume, enabling the company to seek further developments and new markets.
The company’s primary defense markets are currently Scandinavia and the Baltic states, where the main clients are national defense forces. MDSC Systems also views the Middle Eastern market as highly promising. Standard products under the Rolling Unit brand are almost entirely exported; for instance, the company has delivered mobile solutions to the Uruguayan police and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This year, the company’s export share is expected to be around 50%, with growth in export volume anticipated for the coming year.
