Enefit 280-2 Retort Building

The Enefit 280-2 plant is part of Eesti Energia’s oil industry. Eesti Energia envisions the future of the oil industry in the long term through associated industries, including projects aimed at the chemical industry. In the case of the chemical industry, the output of the plants is no longer an energy carrier and is not intended for combustion but serves as raw material for producing new materials and compounds. In other words, the production of liquid fuels in Enefit plants will gradually be replaced by the production of compounds necessary for other industries. Eesti Energia’s planned chemical industry is almost entirely waste-free, as the byproducts of each stage become raw materials for subsequent products. The Enefit 280-2 plant contributes to the chemical industry of the future.
