Norte Designs Modern Plant in Ida-Virumaa
06.06.2025Norte, the Maru Group engineering company, will design a modern air separation plant in Auvere, to be built by Auvere Gaas OÜ.
The project adds another modern facility to Norte’s impressive list of industrial buildings. In recent years, the engineering powerhouse has designed several high-tech factories in Estonia, such as the unique NPM Narva magnet factory and various production facilities for Elcogen, Enefit, Elering, and VKG.
The new plant will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, including pure medical oxygen for Estonian hospitals. The construction of the air separation plant, currently in the design phase, will begin in 2026. The total construction cost is approximately 35 million euros.
The company’s CEO told Ehitusuudised in January that the plant will be a modern, high-tech facility with low energy consumption.
Norte, part of the Maru Group, has over 20 years of experience in executing complex projects. Norte has designed 250 buildings and facilities, with 40% of orders coming from repeat clients.
Auvere Gaas is owned by Elme Messer Gaas, whose co-owners are BLRT and the German private gas company Messer.
Today, Elme Messer Gaas has a similar plant operating in Auvere.
